Sun Flower - Green Solution Of Street Lighting

Costs associated with the operation of street lamps, are often unreasonably high. In particular, the wastage of electricity seems to be one of the key problems that hamper the expansion and development of municipal programs for street lighting facilities.

Trying to solve this problem by using a clean and cheap sources of energy like sunlight, Danish designer Mitchell Riss (Michel Riss) and Jens Rozbyerg (Jens Rosbjerg) proposed a draft Sun flower. Developed their concept of energy saving lamps can be used in various public places, including at sites, parks, gardens and streets. Rigs are solar panels, these lights will not need a separate source of energy.

According to the calculations of designers, five of photovoltaic cells should be sufficient to provide power for five 56-volt LED lamps. Estimated lifetime of such lamps will be 50 000 hours.

Lanterns will be equipped with built-in batteries, sensors and ambient light, automatically regulating the on / off, will help optimize the use of these batteries, the energy is dumped. Svetoelementy Sun flower will be independent: if one lamp fails, all others will continue to work.
