Sputnik Lamp By Pepe Heykupa

Another work of Dutch designer Heykupa Pepe (Pepe Heykoop), shown at the International Festival of Design in Berlin recently. This lamp is handmade, named Sputnik (Sputnik). It consists of a bubble created from tape wrapped around the metal structures. Heykup himself said that his light bulb - it is literally a papier-mache. Lampe few, but they are similar to each other as children of one family. Sputnik has energy-saving lamps, and if I turn it on in the dark, it seems that you look at the full moon. One can also imagine that this is a real Soviet satellite, furrowing expanses of outer space, because the style is something reminiscent of our 50's. This thin curved legs, and he sterile white light emanating from the lamp. And of course, the material of construction Sputnik.
